The development of economic cooperation between the UAE and America reflects the strength of historical relations

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Howard Lutnick, US Secretary of Commerce, as part of his working visit to Washington.
The meeting discussed ways to develop the prospects for trade cooperation between the two countries and strengthen partnerships in priority sectors, including advanced technology and artificial intelligence, which reflects the depth of the strategic relations that bring together the two friendly countries.
The two sides also reviewed ways to enhance joint cooperation within the framework of the “Pax Silica” initiative, the strategic initiative led by the United States with the aim of building a safe, prosperous, innovation-driven supply chain in the field of silicon, starting from minerals, vital raw materials, and energy inputs, all the way to advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and logistics services.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE views the friendly United States of America as a major strategic partner in the process of comprehensive and sustainable development, noting that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is witnessing a qualitative development that reflects the strength of the historical relations between them.
His Highness expressed the UAE’s aspiration to continue joint work with the United States to open new horizons for cooperation, in a way that serves common interests and contributes to achieving sustainable prosperity for the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State, and Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States of America.
