600 swimmers in the Abu Dhabi Community Championships "Swim for life" Friday

Abu Dhabi, February 25 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club announced the organization of the “Swim for Life” community championship with the participation of 600 swimmers from 25 countries at the Olympic Pool in Mohammed bin Zayed City, next Friday for two days.

The tournament is being held with the support of the Emirates Water Sports Federation and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and a group of Emirati Special Olympics players are also participating in it, in support of them and within the framework of the club’s plan to integrate them among the participating male and female players.

The club indicated in a statement today that it was decided to close registration for this year’s edition of the tournament, which focuses on relay races, after reaching a record number of participants and entries.

Hamid Al-Hooti, ​​Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, said that the tournament comes amid great community participation, during the month of Ramadan, and within the framework of the club’s plan aimed at discovering talent and attracting male and female players of all ages, pointing out that the tournament aims to support the country’s trends aimed at preparing sporting generations capable of global competition.
