Wide community interaction with the Dubai Police Iftar Cannon event

The Iftar Cannon event, organized by Dubai Police, is witnessing a wide community turnout with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, through the keenness of families to be present at the fixed or “mobile” cannon sites at the level of the Emirate of Dubai, in a scene that reflects the depth of the authentic Emirati customs and traditions in this holy month.
Before the sunset call to prayer, the cannon sites turned into a daily destination for families, who were keen to take their children to watch the moment of launch, marking the breaking of the fast, and to take souvenir photos that document this ancient custom, amid an atmosphere filled with joy and joy.
A number of attendees of the Iftar Cannon event unanimously agreed that the Iftar Cannon represents a symbol of the holy month, and embodies the connection of Emirati society to its authentic customs and traditions, noting that following its launch gives the Iftar moment a special character, especially for children.
Dubai Police attaches great importance to the Iftar Cannon activities during the holy month of Ramadan because it represents the revival of Arab and Islamic customs, traditions and culture in the UAE society, as there are 6 fixed cannons throughout the holy month in the GBR area, Burj Khalifa, DAMAC Hills, Dubai Expo City (Al Wasl Square), Dubai Festival City, in addition to the Vida Creek Harbor Hotel.”
There is the traveling cannon that visits 17 areas during the month of Ramadan, moving from Zabeel Park, to Umm Suqeim Majlis, then the GBR area, then Bab Al Shams Hotel, then the Meydan Hotel, followed by the Global Village, then the Atlantis Hotel, then Nad Al Sheba Majlis, then the Margham area, then Burj Khalifa, followed by the Lahbab area, then Al Khawaneej Majlis, then Marsa Boulevard, then Al Warqaa area, followed by “Vida Creek Harbour,” and finally the park.
