"Knock" and"Dubai Police" They decided to lift the ban on truck movement on the emirate’s streets until Wednesday evening

DUBAI, March 2, 2017 (WAM) – The Roads and Transport Authority and the Dubai Police General Headquarters announced the lifting of the ban on truck movement, to use all streets of the Emirate of Dubai around the clock, until next Wednesday evening, in support of the logistics sector and enhancing the smooth flow of supply chains in the emirate.

The Airport Tunnel and Shindagha Tunnel are excluded from this decision, as the traffic restrictions in force on them continue to be applied, in order to preserve traffic safety and ensure the smooth flow of movement on the two vital axes.

The two authorities confirmed that the decision comes within the framework of the keenness to support economic and commercial activities, and to enable transport companies to complete their operations with high efficiency, keeping pace with the active movement witnessed by the emirate, and enhancing its logistical readiness.

They warned that the truck ban law will resume as of next Thursday, March 5, 2026, in accordance with the approved controls and regulations, calling on all truck drivers and transport companies to adhere to the traffic instructions and regulations in force, and to cooperate with the competent authorities in a way that contributes to achieving the highest levels of traffic safety and the smooth flow of movement on the roads.
