المملكة: "the environment" The Social Responsibility Forum concludes with the launch of 15 partnerships that enhance sustainability
The Ministry concluded Environment, Water and Agriculture Today, the work of the Social Responsibility Forum in Environment, Water and Agriculture, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, over two days, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, with the participation of more than (300) specialists and interested parties from various government agencies, the private sector and non-profit organizations.
The forum, whose activities continued over two days, witnessed the launch of (15) community environmental partnerships, aiming to support initiatives. Development in the sectors Environment, Water and Agriculture, through the integration of roles between the General Administration of the Ministry’s non-profit sector organizations, as an enabling and supervisory body, and specialized environmental associations, along with entities and partners from the private sector, which contribute to developing initiatives and enhancing their sustainability.
The forum included dialogue sessions and specialized workshops that discussed a number of topics related to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, most notably innovation in community initiatives, sustainability reports, and opportunities to benefit from the carbon market, which contributes to Raising the efficiency of initiatives and enhancing their impact.
Activating the social responsibility strategy
The organization of the forum comes as an extension of the Ministry’s efforts to activate the social responsibility strategy, through developing environmental community initiatives and enhancing their efficiency, stimulating innovation in environmental solutions, in addition to supporting the participation of non-profit sector organizations, and expanding the scope of the private sector’s contribution to initiatives with a development impact.
The forum also witnessed the presentation of a number of topics and topics related to developing social responsibility models, raising the level of sustainability in environmental projects, and promoting the adoption of Sustainable practices, in order to support the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The forum also witnessed the holding of an accompanying exhibition, during which the participating parties reviewed models of their initiatives and projects in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture, in addition to displaying qualitative experiences in environmental social responsibility, and innovative solutions to enhance sustainability.
The exhibition provided a space to introduce the efforts made by non-profit sector organizations and partners from the private sector. It also represented an interactive platform for exchanging experiences, building partnerships, and exploring opportunities. Cooperation, which contributes to developing initiatives, raising their efficiency, and maximizing their development impact.
The forum is a platform that brings together stakeholders concerned with environmental and development work, to exchange experiences, review experiences, and discuss opportunities for cooperation, in a way that contributes to developing the environmental social responsibility system and enhancing its impact on society.
