"Slow down…there is someone waiting for you" Traffic campaign to enhance safety during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, 6 March / WAM / The Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi launched a traffic awareness campaign entitled “Slow down… there is someone waiting for you” coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting safe driving and showing tolerance with road users, especially during peak times before breakfast and prayer times.
The campaign stresses adherence to set speeds and avoiding reckless behavior, in support of the emirate’s efforts to reduce death and injury rates resulting from traffic accidents.
The campaign is implemented through digital screens, billboards, and public transportation stations, in addition to distributing meals and symbolic gifts in selected locations on the roads before breakfast.
Engineer Abdullah Hamad Al-Eryani, Acting Executive Director of the Planning and Strategic Affairs Sector at the Centre, stressed that Ramadan represents an opportunity to promote the values of safe and responsible driving, while emphasizing that the safety of everyone remains a top priority that cannot be compromised.
