Postponing short tests for students until further notice, taking into account the current circumstances

The Ministry of Education in Kuwait announced today, Monday, the postponement of short tests for students until further notice, taking into account the current circumstances and allowing more flexibility for schools, students and teachers at this stage.

This came according to a press release from the Ministry, during which the Minister of Education, Sayyed Jalal Al-Tabtabai, chaired an expanded meeting with educational leaders to review the latest developments related to the progress of the educational process, with the continued implementation of the distance education system via the “Teams” platform, and to follow up on the readiness of the various sectors to ensure the continuation of study efficiently.

According to the statement, the Ministry stated that the situation will be studied again according to developments during the coming period and the necessary decisions will be taken to achieve the interests of students and maintain the stability of the educational process.

During the meeting, Minister Al-Tabtabai listened to a detailed explanation about the mechanism of distance learning, the level of interaction in virtual classes, and the attendance rates of students and teachers through the educational platform, in addition to the challenges that some schools may face and the mechanisms for dealing with them in a way that ensures the continuation of the educational process without interruption.

During the meeting, the importance of students and teachers’ commitment to attending and interacting in classes via the “Teams” platform was stressed, and the need for continued follow-up by school administrations to ensure the required educational benefit is achieved during the distance learning period.

Minister Al-Tabtabai appreciated the important role of parents in supporting their children during the period of implementing the distance education system, calling for continued cooperation between the family and the school in a way that contributes to enhancing students’ discipline, academic follow-up, and achieving the best educational results.
