The secretariat explained that it allocated (13,549) workers for cleaning work in Mecca during the holy month, supported by more than (912) a variety of modern equipment and mechanisms, in addition to specialized field teams to carry out the work. Manual and automatic sweeping in the central area around the Grand Mosque, the main streets and parking lots at the entrances to Mecca, squares and squares.

The Secretariat also activated pest control programs, as the number of workers in control projects reached more than (520) technicians and specialists, supported by more than (396) spraying and control devices and equipped cars, as part of environmental sanitation programs to preserve public health.

The secretariat indicated that the total waste removed from the beginning of the month of Ramadan until yesterday exceeded (126,365) tons of waste and debris.

Monitoring tours

In the field of markets, the secretariat carried out supervisory tours that included markets and seasonal tables spread throughout the various neighborhoods of Mecca, to ensure that the establishments adhere to health and regulatory requirements, and to follow up on the regularity of workers. In order to contribute to enhancing food safety and maintaining environmental sanitation.

The Municipality of the Holy Capital confirmed the continued implementation of its operational plan during the blessed Ramadan season, with the integration of field efforts to serve visitors and pilgrims during the last ten days and peak days.
