Shooting at the US Consulate in Toronto, no reports of injuries

Canadian police said on Tuesday that they had received reports of shooting at the US Consulate in Toronto, adding that they had found evidence of a firearm being fired and that there were no reports of injuries.

Toronto Police stated in a post on the X platform that they responded to reports at 5:29 a.m. local time (0929 GMT).

Canadian police are investigating the shooting near the US consulate in Toronto.

Police said they acted on reports that someone opened fire on the US Consulate at approximately 5:30 a.m.

Police said they went to the scene, adding that “evidence regarding the discharge of a firearm has been identified.”

No information was revealed regarding the presence of suspects.
