Sharjah Fisheries Resources signs a consulting contract for the aquaculture farm project

Sharjah, 17 March / WAM / Today, the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority signed a consultancy contract with the Triadal Meteorological Projects Company to prepare technical designs for the marine facilities of the aquaculture farm project in the emirate, in addition to supervising their implementation in accordance with the best technical and engineering standards.
The project comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and within the framework of the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah aimed at enhancing the sustainability of marine resources and supporting food security.
The scope of work includes preparing technical designs for marine cages designated for fish farming, designing the anchoring systems and associated anchors, in addition to supervising the implementation of the project’s marine facilities.
The contract with the consulting company comes to benefit from its specialized technical expertise in the field of marine projects, and to apply best practices in the design and implementation of fish farming facilities, in preparation for putting the project forward for implementation during the next stage.
His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, Chairman of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, confirmed that the aquaculture farm project is one of the vital projects that the Authority is working to implement in support of the fish farming sector and to enhance food security in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He pointed out that the Authority continues to work on implementing specific projects and initiatives that contribute to supporting and developing the fisheries sector, and enhance its role in achieving sustainable development and meeting the needs of the local market.
