Sharjah will determine my future with Ajman

Ajman Club midfielder, Brazilian Guilherme Pirro, confirmed that his future after the end of the current season is still unclear, in light of the end of his loan period from Sharjah Club, indicating that the final decision regarding his next destination rests with the Sharjah administration, which owns his contract.

Pirro told Emirates Al-Youm that his contract with Sharjah extends for two additional seasons, which makes determining his future outside the scope of his personal decision at the present time.

He added: “The issue of whether I will continue with Ajman or return to Sharjah is not entirely in my hands. In the end, it is the Sharjah administration that will decide what it deems appropriate, and I will respect any decision it issues.”

The Brazilian player pointed out that he is experiencing a special period with Ajman since he joined them on loan in the last winter transfer period, and said, “The current experience is one of the best periods in my football career.”

He explained: “The period I spend with Ajman is wonderful for me on both the technical and personal levels. Since my arrival, I have felt very welcome from everyone within the club, and this has helped me a lot to adapt quickly and give my best.”

Pirro continued: “My move to Ajman was an important opportunity to reintroduce myself after a period that was not successful for me with Sharjah. Things were not going the way I had hoped in Sharjah during the last period, so the decision to move to Ajman on loan came as a new opportunity for me to prove my abilities. I wanted to show everyone what I can offer on the field, and I think I have already begun to regain my level.”

He added: “There are several reasons that helped me shine with Ajman, the most important of which is the great confidence that I gained from the first day. I remember well my first training session with the team, when I felt that the technical staff and players trusted my abilities, and this is very important for any player.”

Peru praised the role of Serbian coach Goran Tovijdzic, stressing that his confidence in him was a key factor in his strong appearance.

He said: “The coach gave me confidence from the beginning, and he surprised me by starting me in my first match against Khor Fakkan, in which we achieved a big victory with a score of 5-2. It is usually normal for a new player to start from the bench until he adapts, but the technical staff was confident in me, and this matter gave me great motivation to give my best.”

Pirro concluded: “The team is determined to compensate quickly and return to positive results. We know that facing Baniyas will not be easy, but we have the ambition and capabilities to achieve victory and return to our advanced place in the league table.”

Sharjah and Ajman

The Brazilian player refused to make a comparison between his experience with Sharjah and Ajman, stressing that each club has its own uniqueness, saying: “I do not like comparison, because each of them has a special place for me. Sharjah is a big club, and it has a preference over me, and Ajman also gave me an important opportunity to show my abilities.”

Regarding his feelings during the confrontation between Ajman and Sharjah in the 17th round of the league, which ended with Ajman’s 3-2 victory, Pirro explained: “I approached the match with the mentality of a professional player. I was happy with Ajman’s victory, perhaps more than I felt sad about Sharjah’s loss. In the end, I am a professional player, and the team I currently represent is Ajman, and it is natural for me to focus on the interest of my current team, and to do everything I have to achieve victories with them.”
