Weather of the Holy Sites
In monitoring and follow-up work, the Center relies on 21 meteorological stations that have been distributed in the Holy Sites in accordance with the approved meteorological standards.
It works to monitor various weather elements at the top of each. hour, which contributes to providing accurate and immediate data that supports the work of the relevant authorities and their operational plans.
The official spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussein bin Muhammad Al-Qahtani, explained that the Center continues to monitor the weather situation directly and continuously, while strengthening coordination and communication with the relevant sectors in accordance with the operational plans in place during the Hajj season, to ensure speedy response and dealing with weather developments.
Awareness Programs
Al-Qahtani indicated that the Center has also intensified programs Joint awareness raising in cooperation with relevant authorities, with the aim of raising awareness of preventive measures related to high temperatures, and enhancing the safety of pilgrims during their movements and performing rituals.
