Ports: 3 shipping services in Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdullah Port

Declared General Ports Authority "Ports"Adding 3 new shipping shipping services belonging to the company "Maersk" International, to Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdullah Port; Which enhances the position of The Kingdom’s ports as a major hub for maritime trade, and supports its competitiveness at the regional and global levels.
The new shipping services work to connect the Jeddah Islamic Port with 4 regional and international ports, including the ports of Nhava Sheva, Mundra in India, Salalah in Oman, and King Abdullah, all the way to the Jeddah Islamic Port, with a total capacity of up to 14,400 standard containers.

This comes as part of efforts "Ports" To enhance the Kingdom’s ranking in global performance indicators, in a way that supports international trade movement and national exports, in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, by consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and a hub connecting the three continents.
It is noteworthy that the Jeddah Islamic Port includes 62 multi-purpose berths, a logistics services area for deposits and re-exports, and a direct transport system via trucks to and from the port, in addition to a number of specialized stations and advanced equipment, which include two stations. For container handling, and a group of berths for marine services, with a capacity of 130 million tons.
