المملكة: With the participation of 300 contestants, Umm Al-Qura University launches a camp for developing historical sites


Umm Al-Qura University launched the Innovation Camp activities, within the fourth phase of the Hackathon Specialized workshops, orientation sessions, and training courses provided by experts and specialists from the fields of engineering, computers, and social sciences, to support participants in transforming their ideas into applicable pioneering projects that contribute to improving the experience of visitors and pilgrims, and raising the quality of services at historical sites.

The hackathon, which was held for the third year in a row, witnessed the participation of more than 300 contestants representing 10 regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with participants from 35 countries. Around the world, 25 teams qualified for the semi-final stage, while 8 projects competed in the final stage to provide innovative solutions that serve the historical sites in Mecca and Medina.
