The Sharjah Chamber confirms its commitment to continuing to support the private sector and enhancing the performance of sectoral work groups

Sharjah, 1st April / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has confirmed its keenness to continue its efforts in supporting the private sector and improving the performance of sectoral work groups by adopting innovative initiatives and developing services that contribute to enhancing business continuity and confronting global economic challenges in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the business environment in the emirate.
The Chamber also affirmed its commitment to providing a stimulating investment environment that supports the growth and expansion of companies and consolidates Sharjah’s position as a leading regional destination for business and investment.
This came during the 17th regular meeting held by the Chamber today at its headquarters, headed by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber, in the presence of Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber, His Excellency Walid Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Vice President of the Sharjah Chamber, members of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Muhammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber, along with a number of officials.
During the meeting, the views and proposals were reviewed, which focused on the challenges that the private sector is going through at the current stage, and the emphasis was placed on implementing a number of incentive measures that ensure business continuity and sustainability, in addition to reviewing the performance of the chamber and its affiliated agencies and the indicators and achievements it achieved within its operational plan during the first quarter of the current year as part of its efforts to maintain business growth and enhance economic activity.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais appreciated the keenness of the wise leadership of the Emirate of Sharjah to enhance business sustainability and develop an attractive investment environment, stressing that the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the close follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, made the economy of the Emirate of Sharjah enjoy flexibility that enabled it to adapt to various changes and continue… Its sustainable growth, which was reflected in the provision of a safe and attractive economic environment for investments and strengthened Sharjah’s advanced position on the global economic map.
Al Owais stressed that the Sharjah Chamber is keen to enhance its effective role in serving the business community and supporting the private sector in a way that ensures business continuity and increases its competitiveness in various economic sectors, directing all departments and divisions to invest in the Chamber’s partnership with various government departments and institutions in the emirate to play an important and vital role in conveying the voice of the business community, monitoring the challenges it faces, and working to find appropriate solutions to enhance the performance of the private sector, praising the continuous cooperation provided by government bodies to maintain business continuity and support the private sector.
The meeting touched on the Chamber’s plans to develop various business sectors by taking advantage of the multiple competitive advantages enjoyed by the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to the efforts made by the Chamber to support sectoral work groups by improving the level of performance and quality of services, launching innovative initiatives, continuing to hold periodic meetings, and reviewing the performance of work groups in a way that contributes to enhancing the economic development witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah.
