Schools launch an electronic form to report any abuse suffered by students during distance learning

Public and private school administrations, which implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum, have launched a specialized form to report any abuse that students may be exposed to during distance learning, in a step aimed at establishing a safe educational environment based on respect and shared responsibility between the school, family, and students. In letters to parents, seen by Emirates Today, the schools confirmed that preparing this model comes as part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the psychological and social safety of students, and follow up on challenges that may arise in the digital learning environment.
In this context, school administrations announced the launch of an electronic form for reporting abuse during distance learning, which aims to measure the level of awareness of available reporting mechanisms, and work to develop them to ensure rapid response to potential cases, and provide the necessary support to students.

School administrations confirmed, in letters to parents, seen by Emirates Today, that preparing this model comes as part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the psychological and social safety of students, and follow up on challenges that may arise in the digital learning environment.
The schools called on students and parents to fill out the designated form accurately and transparently in the event of exposure to any form of abuse, whether verbal, psychological or electronic, stressing that all data contained in the form is subject to strict standards of confidentiality and privacy, and is treated with the utmost seriousness by the competent authorities within each school, to ensure that appropriate measures are taken in accordance with the approved educational frameworks.

She stressed that the participation of students and parents in this model represents an important step towards building a safer digital educational environment, and promoting a culture of responsible reporting, which contributes to reducing negative behaviors and protecting students from any practices that may affect their psychological health or academic achievement.
She indicated that the results of the questionnaire will be used to develop awareness and guidance programs, enhance effective communication channels with students, and provide psychological and social support for cases that require intervention.
The launch of this model comes within the framework of a growing educational trend that focuses on enhancing digital protection for students during distance learning, activating the role of school social service in monitoring electronic behaviors, and establishing an educational environment based on mutual respect, ensuring the safety of students and the continuity of the educational process in a safe and stimulating atmosphere.
