The Cooperation Council condemns the riots, the attempt to sabotage property, and the attacks that targeted the headquarters of the UAE Embassy in Damascus

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the riots, attacks and attempted sabotage of property that affected the headquarters of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the headquarters of its head of mission in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and the unacceptable insults towards the national symbols of the UAE.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Council, Al Budawi stressed the importance of the competent authorities in the Syrian Arab Republic holding accountable those involved in these attacks and abuses of national symbols in the UAE, and strengthening the protection of diplomatic buildings and the headquarters of embassy personnel in accordance with the customs and charters that govern and organize diplomatic work.
