The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the riots and the attack on its embassy in Damascus

The UAE expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the riots, the attempt to sabotage property, and the attacks that targeted its mission headquarters and the headquarters of the head of the mission in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and affirmed its rejection and denunciation of unacceptable insults towards the national symbols of the state.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the UAE’s categorical rejection of such subversive practices, emphasizing the necessity of protecting diplomatic headquarters, missions and their employees in accordance with international laws and norms, especially the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees complete immunity for diplomatic buildings and their employees.
The UAE called on the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic to carry out its duties in securing the embassy and its workers, to investigate the circumstances of these attacks, to ensure that they are not repeated in the future, and to take all necessary legal measures to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
