A high-ranking Israeli defense official said on Saturday that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities, but is waiting for the green light from the United States, adding that any such attacks are likely to occur within the next few days.

Earlier today, US President Donald Trump threatened to escalate attacks on Iran if it did not reach an agreement or open the vital Strait of Hormuz.

He said on the Truth Social platform: “Remember when Iran was given ten days to reach an agreement or open the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out – only 48 hours before hell descends on them.”
