Resuming air traffic at Iraqi airports

Today, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced the opening of the airspace and all Iraqi airports, starting today.
The Aviation Authority stated in a statement, “It was decided to reopen Iraqi airspace to air traffic starting today, after the situation stabilizes and conditions return to normal.”
She added, “Under this procedure, all civil flights are allowed to resume, including transit, take-off, and landing at Iraqi airports, in accordance with the approved controls and instructions.”
The Civil Aviation Authority affirmed its “full commitment to applying the highest standards of air safety and security and in continuous coordination with relevant international organizations to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of air transport.”
