“MEDAD” is a new initiative to attract citizens and residents to work as teachers in private schools in Abu Dhabi

The Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi launched the “MADAD” initiative, which is a training program that aims to provide a flexible path to joining the teaching profession, by providing participants with basic skills that will enable them to begin their professional careers. The initiative comes as an extension of the department’s efforts to enhance the quality of education in private schools and educational partnership schools in Abu Dhabi, by expanding and diversifying the educational competency base, and attracting individuals with diverse experiences and a deep understanding of the values ​​of Emirati society.
The program begins with an intensive training phase lasting four weeks, according to a flexible model that allows self-learning, providing a practical opportunity for those wishing to join the teaching profession according to a path that suits their needs. The program targets Emirati citizens and long-term residents of the country who have knowledge and a deep understanding of the culture and values ​​of the UAE and who seek to contribute to the educational process and transfer their expertise and practical experiences to students. The program also provides a valuable opportunity for parents who seek to play a more effective role in supporting their children’s educational journey.
During the program, participants will discuss the basics of effective education, including classroom management, teaching methods, understanding the diverse needs of students, and employing technology and artificial intelligence in the educational process, in addition to consolidating the Emirati national identity and authentic community values.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to benefit from the skills they have acquired that qualify them to work in the teaching profession part-time, with the possibility of benefiting from additional paths to continue professional development and qualify for advanced educational qualifications. Distinguished participants will also be able to apply to join the second batch of the “Be a Teacher” program, which is a pioneering program launched by the department, which provides a fully funded diploma in the field of education.
The “MEDAD” initiative reflects the department’s commitment to continuing to develop the educational competency system in Abu Dhabi, by providing more flexible paths to join the teaching profession, thus enhancing the enrichment of the educational experience for students in the emirate.
