The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Chinese Premier discuss strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and expanding horizons of cooperation between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Li Qiang, Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, discussed strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries and ways to advance them in various vital fields.

This came during the Chinese Premier’s reception of His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, today, within the framework of His Highness’s official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

At the beginning of the meeting, Li Qiang welcomed His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the accompanying delegation, expressing his wishes for good luck and success for this visit, which contributes to advancing the paths of joint cooperation to broader horizons.

For his part, His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi expressed his happiness at visiting the People’s Republic of China, appreciating the warm reception and hospitality he and the accompanying delegation received, stressing the UAE’s keenness to continue strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with China and developing priority areas of cooperation, especially in the economic and development sectors, in a way that serves common interests and supports the achievement of sustainable development for the two friendly countries.

His Highness stressed the importance of building on the progress achieved in the historical relations between the two countries, and moving towards a more integrated phase, by focusing on investing in future opportunities and working together to strengthen supply chains, in a way that strengthens the two countries’ position as active partners in the global economy.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint work in various vital fields, in a way that supports the development trends of the two friendly countries and keeps pace with global economic transformations.

During the meeting, the two sides pointed out the importance of holding a business promotion conference between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, coinciding with this visit, in which business leaders and investors from both countries participate to discuss opportunities to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, technology and industrial development, in line with the volume of non-oil bilateral trade between the two countries, which reached about 111 billion US dollars in 2025.

The meeting also reviewed developments in the regional and international situation and the importance of consolidating stability, enhancing international coordination in facing common challenges, and supporting peaceful solutions to conflicts, in a way that contributes to maintaining international peace and security.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Li Qiang witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of memorandums of understanding to strengthen the UAE-Chinese partnership and expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries, in various sectors of common interest, most notably the clean energy sector, investment, sustainable agriculture, environmental sustainability, health sciences, and supporting the exchange of experiences and the implementation of joint research programs in the advanced technology sector.

Li Qiang hosted a dinner in honor of His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and his accompanying delegation, within the framework of strengthening the bonds of cooperation and fraternal relations that bring the two countries together. The banquet was attended from the Emirati side by members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness, and from the Chinese side by a number of ministers, senior officials and government figures, as the occasion represented an opportunity to exchange friendly conversations and discuss prospects for joint cooperation.
