المملكة: "Founder University" Oxford opens its doors to its distinguished students

King Abdulaziz University received a delegation from the Rhodes Program of the University of Oxford in Britain, to discuss mechanisms for qualifying distinguished students, and to review Accurate nomination criteria and opportunities for cooperation to enhance international academic presence.
The visiting delegation met with the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Kabli, and the Director of the Department of International Relations and External Communication, Dr. Mamdouh Shoman, in the presence of University leaders and qualified students.
The Department of International Relations and External Communication explained that the meeting aimed mainly to review the application mechanism and opportunities for cooperation with the program, which contributes to enhancing students’ participation in prestigious international programs.
Developing leadership and research skills
King Abdulaziz University revealed that it has adopted qualitative initiatives to prepare students for competition, by establishing an “integrated program” that focuses on developing their leadership skills and refining Their research capabilities in a professional manner.
The university stated that the nomination process is subject to a careful review of files and personal interviews, conducted by a number of academics and leaders to select applicants based on “academic excellence,” leadership ability, and a tangible commitment to community service.
It is noteworthy that the international academic Rhodes Scholarship was established in Oxford in 1903, while its program designated for Saudi students was launched in 2018.
