المملكة: With 10 million cubic meters, the Atoud Dam tops the list of overflow dams in the Kingdom

Several dams in the Kingdom’s regions recorded that their levels had reached the limits of the “spillway”, following the flow of huge amounts of torrents and rain during the past two days, to begin Wateroverflowed in the Al-Ghail Dam in Al-Aflaj Governorate, with a capacity of 3 million cubic metres, and the Al-Hadar Dam in the same governorate, with a storage capacity estimated at 800 thousand cubic metres.
The official statistics showed the inclusion of Overflow status of the Tamra Dam in As Sulayyil Governorate, with a capacity of up to 470 thousand cubic metres, in addition to the Amoud Dam in the Jazan region, which contains 85 thousand cubic metres.
The General Corporation for Irrigation confirmed that its specialists will continue the work of operating the dams in accordance with the approved technical procedures, and in direct and continuous coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure complete readiness and public safety.
At the conclusion of its statement, the Corporation warned all citizens and residents of the danger The situation, stressing the need to be careful and cautious, and to immediately move away from flood streams, their drainage sites, dam basins and lakes.
