المملكة: Deterrent penalties for violators.. “Environment” and security surround random slaughter in Mecca

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region revealed its proactive operational plan for the Hajj season, with the aim of strengthening field monitoring and combating Waste management during the season.
Al-Daghis warned against violations, stressing the regulation of random slaughter through a strict legislative regulation supported by “deterrent penalties,” in addition to electronic governance of government agencies’ provision to enhance transparency.
He touched on the extension of the partnership with the Royal Commission for the Holy City of Makkah and the Holy Sites, to control the challenges associated with domestic and individual pilgrims and oblige them to book via approved platforms.
Enhancing coordination Oversight
Engineer Walid Al Daghis indicated the implementation of regulations requiring contractors to disclose slaughter sites and meat distribution mechanisms, while ensuring that the infrastructure accommodates the increasing liquid waste.
He pointed to strengthening oversight in joint coordination with the National Center for Environmental Compliance Oversight, the National Company for Agricultural Services, and the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases “Waqa”.
The director of the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Mecca confirmed the conclusion of high security coordination. level with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Administration of the Mujahideen, to enhance control in markets and private slaughterhouses.
He added that this joint security cooperation ensures the provision of direct security protection for veterinary teams while performing their field tasks to create a healthy and safe environment for the guests of God.
Engineer Walid Al Daghis concluded his speech by emphasizing that this system reflects the Kingdom’s utmost care for pilgrims, by providing a safe experience based on smart response to all field challenges.
