The Emirates Creativity Society celebrates the creativity of people of determination
Sharjah, April 21 / WAM / The Emirates Creativity Society today honored the winners of the Emirates Creativity Award for People of Determination in its first session 2026 during a ceremony hosted by the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex in Sharjah, in the presence of an elite group of leaders, officials and representatives of government agencies and institutions for people of determination in the country.
The activities began with the opening of the accompanying exhibition, which embodied inspiring examples of the creativity of people of determination, with the participation of the Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the Art for All Center, and reflected creative energies and exceptional abilities that confirm that creativity has no limits.
The ceremony witnessed various segments that began with the showing of a documentary film that reviewed the efforts of the state and the association in supporting and empowering people of determination, followed by influential artistic segments that embodied creativity in the language of feeling, before the event culminated in honoring the winners in the various categories.
In the category of leaders supporting people of determination, Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, was honored in first place. Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei, Director General of the City, received the award on her behalf, while Dr. Manal Jaarour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Down Syndrome Society, received second place.
The winning institutions were honored, and the Trust Club for the Disabled won first place and the Khor Fakkan Club for the Disabled won second place in the category of supporting institutions, while the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority won first place and the Mawarid Center for Disability at the University of Sharjah came in second place in the category of institutional initiatives.
Sheikha Dr. Kholoud Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Creativity Society, confirmed that the UAE has become a global model in empowering people of determination thanks to the vision of the wise leadership that believes that man is the true wealth and that creativity knows no borders, noting that the award represents a platform for discovering energies and enhancing their presence, and noted that they are exempted from membership fees to support their participation and expand their impact.
Ahmed Al Mulla, Advisor to the Office of the CEO and Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex in Sharjah, said that the unprecedented support the country is witnessing for people of determination reflects a humanitarian leadership vision that has made empowerment a sustainable approach and investing in people a national priority.
