"Council of Thought and Knowledge" In Al Ain, the role of the mother as guardian of values and heritage is discussed

Al Ain, April 20 / WAM / The Thought and Knowledge Council held a dialogue symposium entitled “The Mother is the Guardian of Values and Heritage” in a cultural and humanitarian meeting.
As part of the “Umi Hamda Council” initiative, the mother’s pivotal position in building personality, preserving social memory, and consolidating the system of values that is transmitted from one generation to another is recalled, as a living essence of the components of societal identity and one of the most important pillars of its stability and continuity.
Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, confirmed during the symposium that the mother is not only a source of tenderness and care, but rather the first school in which a person’s moral and emotional features are formulated, and from her children learn the meaning of compassion, discipline, respect for time, consideration for the feelings of others, preservation of grace, and humility in dealing with people.
She pointed out that a conscious mother is able to leave a lasting impact on her children, and on everyone who surrounds them, because authentic education does not stop at the borders of the home, but rather is reflected in general behavior, and in a person’s relationship with his society and the world around him.
She touched on her personal experience and stressed that many of the positions and choices she makes in her life are based on what she learned from her mother in terms of wisdom, insight, and judgment in decision-making, explaining that the values instilled by the mother are not separate from the social and cultural heritage, but rather represent its natural extension into daily life.
