The dollar is at its highest levels in a week

Tokyo, April 22 / WAM / The dollar stabilized during early Asian trading today, and increased demand pushed the US currency, which is considered a safe haven, to its highest level in a week.

The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against a group of six currencies, settled at 98.415, the highest level since April 13.

There was little change in most other currencies, and the euro stabilized at 1.1739 dollars, and the Australian dollar recorded

$0.7152, while the New Zealand dollar settled at $0.5894.

Against the yen, the dollar fell 0.1 percent to 159.26 yen, after data showed earlier that Japanese exports rose for the seventh month in a row.

As for cryptocurrencies, “Bitcoin” rose 0.2 percent to $75,894.67, while “Ether” increased by the same percentage to $2,321.92.
