The UAE Government Cybersecurity Council revealed that 40% of social media users in the country were hacked after sharing their personal data, noting that 97% of attacks are based on passwords.

The Council confirmed, through its official account on the “X” platform, that activating the “multi-factor authentication” feature prevents more than 99% of attacks targeting the digital identity. He stressed the need to protect accounts by using strong passwords, and to think consciously before sharing any private data.
