Sharjah Civil Defense intensifies awareness campaigns and field inspections in preparation for the summer

The Sharjah Civil Defense Authority has strengthened its monitoring and awareness efforts as the summer season approaches, by continuing and intensifying inspection and awareness campaigns in industrial and commercial areas in a way that supports the speed of response and contributes to protecting lives and property, as part of its proactive approach to reducing risks and strengthening the prevention system.

This comes in parallel with the launch of targeted awareness initiatives targeting workers in facilities and community members, focusing on correcting behaviors related to the causes of accidents and enhancing awareness of safe practices in use, operation and storage, which contributes to establishing a culture of safety as a shared responsibility and reducing risks before they occur.

The Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, confirmed that the authority continues to develop its oversight system according to a proactive, flexible vision that responds to changes in work environments, which increases the efficiency of field follow-up, accelerates the treatment of challenges, and enhances the ability to contain observations before they escalate into risks, which contributes to improving preventive plans and developing them continuously.

The awareness tours cover various vital sectors, including industrial and commercial facilities and residential buildings, where the efficiency of warning and fire systems is verified and evacuation plans are reviewed, in addition to providing practical guidance that contributes to improving the safety environment in an immediate and measurable manner, reflecting the authority’s commitment to developing an advanced preventive model that puts people at the top of priorities and enhances the community’s readiness to face risks efficiently and confidently.
