Dubai Police impounds motorcycles due to dangerous traffic behavior

Dubai Police impounded a number of motorcycles after their drivers engaged in dangerous traffic behavior on the emirate’s roads, including riding a bike on one wheel and making showy movements between vehicles, actions that endanger the lives of road users and constitute a direct threat to traffic safety.
Director of the General Traffic Department at Dubai Police, Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, said that traffic patrols spotted a group of bikers committing serious traffic violations, including lifting a bike on one wheel while driving on public roads, driving recklessly, and not adhering to traffic rules.
He explained that these behaviors pose a serious threat to the safety of drivers themselves and other road users, and may lead to serious traffic accidents, stressing that Dubai Police will not tolerate such behaviors that contradict traffic regulations and constitute a disregard for the lives of others.
Brigadier General Jumaa bin Suwaidan indicated that motorcycles were seized, legal measures were taken against violators, and penalties were applied in accordance with applicable traffic laws and regulations, calling on motorcycle drivers to adhere to safe driving and not to engage in any dangerous practices on public roads.
He also called on parents to follow up on their children and educate them about the danger of driving motorcycles recklessly on public roads, and to ensure that they do not use vehicles or bicycles without adhering to traffic laws and regulations, as this may entail serious risks that could lead to serious injuries or deaths.
He stressed the importance of strengthening family control and instilling a culture of commitment to traffic safety in children from a young age, directing them to use bicycles only in the places designated for them, and not to get carried away by the dangerous behaviors that are circulated through some video clips on social media, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of others.
