Oil prices continue to rise

Singapore, April 28 (WAM) – Oil prices continued to rise today, in light of the almost complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures for June delivery rose 45 cents, equivalent to 0.4 percent, to $108.68 per barrel, after rising 2.8 percent in the previous session, to record its highest closing level since the seventh of this April.
The price of US West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery rose 58 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $96.96, after rising 2.1 percent in the previous session.
