Her performance was characterized by a strong vocal presence and high feeling, which reaffirmed her exceptional ability to combine vocal technique and sincere emotion.
Asala did not ignore her Syrian audience, who attended in large numbers, as she singled them out by performing the song “Syria is Paradise,” in a poignant human moment in which music was mixed with feelings.
