The Head of State receives the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region

Abu Dhabi, April 30 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the brotherly Iraqi Kurdistan region.

During the meeting, His Highness discussed with His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani the various aspects of cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the brotherly Republic of Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region in particular and ways to develop it and expand its horizons in a way that brings goodness and development to the two brotherly peoples.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, most notably regional developments, with their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President, and a number of sheikhs, ministers and officials.
