In a meeting with a potter in Medina, the potter Ammar Saeed Jabarti, who is interested in the art of pottery, explained that he began his journey with this material by employing it in Contemporary works of art within his own studio, seeking to present them in innovative ways that go beyond the traditional uses associated with cooking utensils or ancient utensils such as buttons and drinking utensils.
He explained that he turned to transforming pottery into modern works of art, by implementing murals and paintings consisting of ceramic tiles, treated with special paints based on oxides and colors, and then burned at high temperatures to reach the desired final form.

He pointed out that the demand for learning the art of pottery has witnessed a noticeable increase recently, especially among young men and women, indicating that the inclusion of this subject in the school curricula since the primary levels has contributed to introducing students to it and developing their skills in dealing with it gradually.
He stressed that this early interest opens the way for students to specialize in this field in the future, and to acquire modern skills and methods that enable them to achieve advanced results in simple and effective ways.
The pottery industry receives the attention of those concerned with traditional crafts and industries by supporting craftsmen, organizing exhibitions, and providing training and qualification programs, while craftsmen continue to preserve this heritage by transferring their expertise to generations and introducing modern methods that contribute to the development of pottery products to keep pace with contemporary tastes without compromising their heritage value.
