The Head of State and the President of Ghana discuss strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries

Abu Dhabi, 6 May / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, met today with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, who is on a working visit to the country… on the sidelines of the activities of the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”.

During the meeting, His Highness and the President of Ghana discussed various paths of cooperation and opportunities for its development, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields, in addition to renewable energy, innovation, technology, artificial intelligence and other fields that represent development priorities for the two countries in a way that serves their common interests and brings growth and prosperity to their peoples.

The two sides stressed their mutual keenness to continue cooperation and joint work to invest in all available opportunities to build development partnerships that support the aspirations of the two countries for progress and sustainable prosperity.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of common interest, most notably the developments taking place in the Middle East region and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and peace. In this context, His Excellency renewed his condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian installations and infrastructure in the UAE, as they constitute a violation of the sovereignty of states and international law and an undermining of regional stability and security.

The meeting was attended by: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and a number of ministers and officials.
