Gold prices stabilize and silver declines

Gold prices generally stabilized near their highest level in a week today.
In spot transactions, the price stabilized at $4,688.16 per ounce after rising by about three percent yesterday, Wednesday, to its highest level since April 27.
US gold futures for June delivery increased 0.1 percent to $4,696.60.
As for other precious metals, silver fell in spot transactions 0.2 percent to $77.16 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1 percent to $2,062.50, and palladium fell 0.3 percent to $1,533.25.
