Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism launches an initiative "Music in the city"

ABU DHABI, May 15 / WAM / The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced the launch of its new program “Music in the City”, which extends throughout the year and aims to integrate live music performances into the daily fabric of public spaces and places in Abu Dhabi.

In the spirit of street performers, musicians and artists perform and perform in parks, waterfronts, malls, hotels and cultural sites across the emirate, transforming the entire city into a vibrant stage.

Based on Abu Dhabi’s status as a City of Music within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the “Music in the City” program works to integrate a series of diverse musical programs in public spaces, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life, flexibility, and consolidating the sense of belonging to the place.

The program reflects the vision that music in Abu Dhabi is not a passing event, but rather an integral part of daily life, inspiring individuals, arousing their curiosity, and enhancing their sense of interconnectedness.

The “Music in the City” program presents a dynamic and diverse group of artists, bands and performances in various locations in Abu Dhabi, including the “Emirates in Harmony” initiative in cooperation with Yas Bay Waterfront.

Meanwhile, the Rosewood Hotel’s “Fava & Friends: Jazz & R&B” band offers a smooth, multi-genre mix of music, through performances in selected hotels and restaurants, as well as “Arabic Music Forum: Music in the Parks”, which is a distinctive cross-cultural concert celebrating Arabic music in the Abu Dhabi Corniche Gardens, in addition to the “Chamber Music Series – Youth Orchestra” played by the Youth Orchestra in hotels and malls, and the “Music for Peace – Iman” series. Al Hashemi and the Music Band” in cooperation with the Emirates Autoimmune Diseases Association and “Kinder Muzik” at Kids Factory, Galleria Mall: in cooperation with the Cultural Foundation, in addition to other initiatives.
