المملكة: Passport volunteers during Hajj…a humanitarian contribution to serve the guests of God


Guests of God, the General Directorate of Passports is making organizational and service efforts in which volunteers participate, who have been empowered and qualified to work within a professional environment that contributes to enhancing the pilgrims’ experience from the moment of their arrival.

Integrated field and organizational coordination

In the spirit of social responsibility, more than “200” male and female volunteers enhance the field work of passports within “16” international air and land ports. And at sea in various regions of the Kingdom, in an extension that reflects the volume of operational efforts undertaken by Passports during the Hajj season, and the accompanying integrated field and organizational coordination to achieve the smooth flow of movement and procedures at the reception and departure sites.

The Passports worked to prepare volunteers through specialized training workshops that included mechanisms for dealing with travelers, using electronic gates, and completing travel procedures, enabling them to guide pilgrims and support them inside the halls with high efficiency, to perform supportive roles in the halls. Passports, including organization and guidance, support for the elderly and people with disabilities, and educating pilgrims about the mechanism of completing travel procedures.

Service for the Guests of God

The General Directorate of Passports has enabled volunteers to contribute to serving the Guests of God, as an extension of its approach to enhancing community participation and building an integrated humanitarian experience that reflects the care and attention the Kingdom gives to the Guests of God, through a professional work system that integrates technology, experience, and the spirit of giving.

These efforts coincide with the Passports Department’s continuous work during the Hajj season, by supporting the platforms with the latest devices and systems, strengthening qualified human cadres, and following up on the progress of work in the field through the command and control center, which works around the clock to ensure the flow of procedures and the continuity of performance with high efficiency.
