المملكة: Mecca… Urgent heart surgery saves a Somali pilgrim and a Senegalese pilgrim

The Heart Center succeeded with King Abdullah Medical City in the Holy Capital, a member of the Mecca Health, in saving the life of a Somali pilgrim and a woman from the Republic of Senegal, after suffering two critical heart conditions that required urgent specialized intervention, within the system of advanced cardiac care provided to the pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.
The Medical City explained that the first case was a Somali pilgrim whose medical examinations showed that he had severe and multiple blockages in the coronary arteries, which required urgent open-heart surgery to connect the coronary arteries and was crowned with complete success, as his health condition stabilized. He began an early cardiac rehabilitation program.
She added that the second case belonged to a patient from the Republic of Senegal who suffered from a complete electrical disturbance in the heart and a severe and dangerous slow pulse. The medical team intervened urgently to implant a permanent pacemaker using an advanced dual-chamber device, while achieving complete stabilization of the condition without any complications.

The Medical City confirmed that the two cases were provided with medical smart watch technology to monitor vital signs and cardiac functions remotely. After leaving the hospital, which supports the speed of response and the continuity of virtual health care using modern digital solutions while traveling through the holy sites.
She indicated that these successive medical successes reflect the maximum readiness of the Heart Center and the efficiency of the Saudi medical teams in providing advanced specialized cardiac care to the pilgrims, in accordance with the highest standards of quality and medical mastery that guarantee the safety of pilgrims and translate the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in developing the health sector.
