ABU DHABI, May 20 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Food Centre, the integrated center for food trade and logistics services of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, announced the signing of an agreement with Accion Development to develop an advanced cold chain infrastructure in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement confirms growing confidence in the integrated food platform being developed in the emirate, as Accion Development will begin developing a dedicated cold chain facility on a plot of land with an area of 37,000 square metres, under a long-term musataha agreement for 50 years.

The facility aims to support a broader system of traders and companies that will work within the integrated market of the Abu Dhabi Food Centre, as it will provide infrastructure to supply the various market sectors, thus contributing to enhancing the capabilities of the vital cold chain that serves wholesale trade activities, distribution and value-added food supply chains.
