The official circulars, issued at the beginning of May 2026, made it clear that the decision to lift the temporary ban also included Importing poultry meat, table eggs and their products from the provinces of Buenos Aires and Cordoba in the Republic of Argentina.

On the other hand, the competent authorities announced the imposition of a temporary ban on the entry of poultry meat and equipment imported from the “Dordogneau” department in the Republic of France into local markets as an immediate precautionary measure following the outbreak of Avian influenzais highly virulent.

These regulatory steps were based on the assessments of the CEO of the Food and Drug Authority, aimed at ensuring the safety of food products and their safe flow in accordance with approved standards.

The East Chamber called on all importers and economic operators to take note of these decisions, and to update their import sources in accordance with the new regular supply routes.
