المملكة: Amidst the Talbiyah and Takbir… pilgrims flock to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah

The pilgrims of the Holy House of God began this morning, the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH, to arrive at Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah, following the example of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad – may God bless him and grant him peace – in an atmosphere of faith filled with talbiyah, praise and glorification.

Islamic law confirms that pilgrims – whether they are in Qarin or alone – should be directed to Mina The Day of Tarwiyah and spending the night there before standing at Arafat is considered a confirmed Sunnah.

As for the pilgrims performing tamattu’, they are deprived of their places of residence inside or outside of Mecca, and everyone stays in Mina until sunrise on the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, after which they head to Arafat to perform the great stop, then they return to Mina after departing from Arafat and spending the night in Muzdalifah; To make up the days of Tashreeq (10, 11, 12, 13) and to stone the three Jamarat, as long as they do not rush, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying: (And remember Allah during the numbered days? But whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever If he delays, is there no sin on him? For the one who fears Allah?).

The Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – pledged allegiance to 12 men from Aws and Khazraj in the twelfth year of the Hijra, followed by the second pledge of allegiance the following year with 73 men and two women from the people of Medina in the same location northeast of Jamrat Al-Aqaba.

In commemoration of this anniversary in which the Ansar pledged the Messenger of God to support and protect him, the Abbasid Caliph Abu Jaafar Al-Mansur built "Al-Bayaa Mosque" In the year 144 AH at the bottom of a mountain "Thabeer"While Mina witnessed the revelation of Surah "Transmitters" On the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – while he was jealous of it.
