Members of “A Quarter Century for Theater and Performing Arts” keep pace with the latest digital theater technologies and artificial intelligence in China
Sharjah, May 25 / WAM / The Rubu’ Qarn Center for Theater and Performing Arts, one of the specialized centers affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, continues to implement the international phase of the “Digital Theater Program” in the People’s Republic of China, which continues until May 31 of this year in a specialized training experience that allows participants to view the latest global experiences in digital performing arts, within a vision that seeks to prepare a generation capable of reshaping the future of theater with innovative methods that keep pace with rapid technological transformations.
The program targets the center’s members from the age groups affiliated with Sajaya Girls of Sharjah, Sharjah Youth, and Sharjah Capacity Development Institutions, where participants undergo a training program that focuses on developing theatrical design skills and employing artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the production of theatrical performances, which enhances their creative and technical readiness, and opens new horizons for them to understand the future of theatrical arts globally in the service of human values.
During the training course, the participants participated in a series of specialized workshops and lectures that shed light on modern theatrical techniques, most notably the lecture “Creative Transformation of Contemporary Theatrical Scene Design Concepts,” the lecture “Integrated Innovation for Performing Arts and Theatrical Equipment,” and the “Security and Safety in Theaters” workshop, in addition to the lecture “Exploring the Development of the Profession of Visual Pre-Representation of Shows,” in addition to a specialized lecture entitled “Basics in Marketing Cultural and Entertainment Tourist Areas.”
The program also includes attending various cultural activities and performances, field visits to a number of cultural museums and the opera house, and attending special theatrical performances, giving participants a direct opportunity to discover Chinese culture and learn about contemporary artistic experiences in the People’s Republic of China.
A delegation of members of the quarter-Qarn institutions is participating in the international phase, including members of Sajaya Girls of Sharjah, Miral Al-Mazmi and Rayan Al-Mansouri, and members of Sharjah Youth Badr Al-Ketbi, Muhammad Al-Kaabi, Obaid Al-Naqbi, and Rashid Al-Naqbi, as part of a specialized training experience aimed at empowering them with the latest technologies in digital theater and artificial intelligence, and enhancing their artistic and technical skills in the fields of contemporary performing arts.
The supervision team accompanying the delegation also includes Hamda Al-Mazmi, head of the delegation and director of youth care, along with Nour Jassim, institutional communication officer and affiliate at the Sharjah Foundation for Capacity Development, and Ali Al-Mazmi, supervisor of affiliates and affiliate at the Sharjah Foundation for Capacity Development, to follow up on the organizational, media, and supervisory aspects accompanying the program during the international phase in the People’s Republic of China.
The program also includes a visit to a number of the most prominent specialized facilities and exhibitions in the field of theatrical technologies, most notably the “Guangzhou International Lighting and Sound Technology Exhibition,” in addition to a visit to the “Guangzhou Grand Theater,” to learn about the latest findings in modern theater design and operation techniques, and to link the academic and training aspect with global applied experiences in the field of digital performing arts.
Dr. Adnan Salloum, an expert in performing arts at the Quarter Qarn Center for Theater and Performing Arts, said that the digital theater program represents a qualitative initiative that contributes to empowering members with the tools of the future, by integrating artistic knowledge with modern digital technologies, thus enhancing their capabilities for innovation and contemporary theatrical production. The program also provides an opportunity to communicate with advanced global experiences in this field.
He added that the strategic partnership with the Yinchuan Theater Design Authority in the People’s Republic of China represents the gateway for members to discover a world of technology and digitalization in the service of theatrical achievement, which works to expand the awareness of the members and enhance their creative ability through interaction with advanced technological educational environments and access to the latest technical tools by visiting factories and specialized exhibitions, the most important of which is the Guangzhou Lighting and Sound Exhibition.
The international phase of the program concludes with a visit to the Guangzhou Vocational Technical Academy, as part of an academic exchange program aimed at enhancing knowledge dialogue and exchanging experiences in the fields of performing arts and modern digital technologies.
The program also culminates in a graduation ceremony for the participants, to celebrate their training journey and the knowledge and practical development they have achieved during their participation in the Arab-Chinese Theater Design Course.
