You registered General Authority of Roads More than (79) thousand vehicles crossed the roads leading to Mecca during the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah, as part of operational and organizational efforts aimed at facilitating the movement of Guests of God through Hajj season 1447 AH, and raising the efficiency of movement on the road network in various directions leading to the Holy Capital.
Mash’ar Arafat leads
The authority explained that the entrance to Mash’ar Arafat topped the roads in terms of the number of passing vehicles with (17,592) vehicles, followed by Prince Muhammad bin Salman Road with (13,714) vehicles, then Al-Layth Road. With (13,054) vehicles.
It indicated that the Taif-Makkah Al-Mukarramah road via Al-Sail Al-Kabir witnessed the crossing of (10,241) vehicles, while the number of vehicles crossing the Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Jeddah (Bahra) road reached (7,365) vehicles, and the Hijra Road (7,346) vehicles, in addition to the Mecca-Taif (Aqabat Al-Hada) road, which witnessed the crossing of (6,350) vehicles, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Jeddah direct, which witnessed the crossing of (3,599) vehicles.
Safety of services
The General Authority of Roads confirmed the continuation of its field and operational readiness on the roads leading to the Holy Sites, by monitoring traffic movement and raising the level of safety and services provided to the guests of God, in a way that contributes to the smooth movement and comfort of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
