Iran will open the Strait of Hormuz 30 days after an agreement with America to end the fighting

Reuters quoted the Nikkei newspaper, statements from a diplomatic source in the Middle East, who reported that the United States and Iran are discussing a plan to open the Strait of Hormuz about 30 days after the two countries reached an agreement to end hostilities.

The newspaper said that Iran will begin removing mines from the strait within a period of 30 days following the agreement, after which ships of all countries will be able to sail freely and safely and Iran will stop collecting transit fees.

The report added that the ceasefire agreed upon in early April will be extended for 60 days, with a plan to hold talks regarding the Iranian nuclear program during the two-month pause.
