37 people were killed in armed attacks in northwestern Nigeria


At least 37 people were killed as a result of armed attacks targeting a rural area in Sokoto State, northwest Nigeria.

Nigerian authorities reported that gunmen riding motorcycles launched attacks over a period of two days on the village of Dangoulbe, located in Turita County, killing at least 37 people, in addition to looting a number of shops.

Wide areas in northern and central Nigeria have for years witnessed increasing activity of armed gangs carrying out kidnappings for ransom, theft of livestock, and attacks on Villages and rural areas; Which increases the security challenges faced by the Nigerian authorities in those areas.
