Sri Lanka.. 12 people were killed in a fire in a nursing home

Sri Lankan police announced that 12 people were killed and 8 others were injured in Fire broke out in Nursing Home West Sri Lanka.
Police spokesman Frederick Wotler explained that the fire broke out yesterday inside the nursing home located in the town of Angorawatta, and that 51 residents of the home were rescued.
The Sri Lankan authorities announced the arrest of the director of the nursing home on suspicion of causing deaths as a result of negligence.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire.
