"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" Participates in the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair

Abu Dhabi, June 12 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center is participating in the 32nd session of the Beijing International Book Fair, in which the UAE will be a guest of honor, as part of a national delegation led by the Ministry of Culture.

On this occasion, the Center presents a diverse cultural program in the “Emirati House” pavilion, which occupies a prominent position in the exhibition, which is held from June 17 to 21, 2026, at the Chinese National Convention Center in the capital, Beijing, in a way that reflects the Emirati cultural movement and enhances the presence of the Arabic language and its literature on the international scene.

Through its participation in the event, which hosts 2,600 publishers from 100 countries, the Center seeks to introduce its qualitative initiatives that serve intellectual and cultural systems, most notably “Kalima” for translation, and “Issuances” for Arabic publishing, and to highlight its efforts in the fields of linguistic studies, book digitization, and content creation, and to inform the Asian public of the achievements of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, leading to strengthening cooperation in Publishing and translation sectors with leading Chinese institutions.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, said: We are proud that the UAE has been chosen as a guest of honor for the Beijing International Book Fair, this prestigious cultural event. This is a choice that reflects the cultural status that the UAE enjoys, regionally and internationally, and shows the depth and strength of strategic and cultural relations with the People’s Republic of China.

He added that the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center is keen to participate in this important exhibition, as part of its efforts to consolidate the presence of the Arabic language globally and open new horizons for partnership and cooperation with various international cultural bodies and bodies.

He pointed out that the participation includes a qualitative program aimed at enhancing the presence of the Arabic language internationally, with a focus on developing partnerships in the fields of publishing, translation, linguistic education, and content creation, in a way that enhances cultural exchange between the two sides in Asia and the world, and in a way that reflects the vitality of the cultural scene and its growing mobility in the UAE, through activities that celebrate the ancient Arab culture, and highlight the authenticity of the national identity and the ancient Emirati heritage.

The cultural program, organized by the centre, includes dialogue sessions and cultural meetings that celebrate Emirati Arab culture and highlight its authenticity.

Participation also includes organizing sessions that review the Centre’s most prominent projects, and shed light on the upcoming session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, which this year celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its launch, in addition to conferences and meetings that strengthen the Emirati-Chinese rapprochement, reflect the Center’s commitment to enhancing the status and presence of the Arabic language, and raise the level of cooperation and knowledge exchange with various civilizations and cultures, in line with the strategic vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its position as a pioneering center for culture. The program reflects the centre’s commitment to strengthening the presence of the Arabic language, promoting it and disseminating it globally, and building bridges of communication and cultural exchange with various cultures in the world, in line with the strategic vision of the UAE and its capital, Abu Dhabi.

Among the most prominent events is a conference on the future of UAE-Chinese cultural relations. It will also hold a session to launch and discuss the book “China’s Governance under the Leadership of Xi Jinping,” in which His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Kuang Licheng, Chairman of Xinhua Publishing House, Guo Binsheng, Editor-in-Chief of “Liaowang” Magazine, Dr. Ahmed Al Saeed, Founder and CEO of the House of Wisdom Culture Group, and Ren Weidong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese News Agency “Xinhua” will participate.
