"Colors of cinema" Launches the Independent Film Support Fund to attract promising projects

The club explained that applying for the fund is available to members of the Colors of Cinema Club, inviting those interested. Filmmakers must join the club membership to benefit from the programs and initiatives it offers, most notably the Independent Film Support Fund.
The president of the Colors of Cinema Club, director Abdul Rahman bin Yahya, stressed that the launch of the fund represents an important milestone in the club’s journey towards building a sustainable system to support independent filmmaking, indicating that the club seeks to provide an incubating environment for national talents and enable them to develop their cinematic projects in a way that contributes to enriching Saudi cinematic content and enhancing its presence locally. He said: “We believe that supporting filmmakers is an investment in the future of Saudi cinema, and from this standpoint, the launch of the Independent Film Support Fund came to be one of the initiatives that reflects the Colors of Cinema Club’s commitment to developing talent and opening new horizons for promising cinematic projects, which contributes to building a more sustainable and influential film industry.”
He explained that the application and evaluation mechanisms depend on clear professional standards aimed at selecting the most distinguished projects. And feasibility, ensuring that support is directed towards works capable of achieving artistic and creative value and enriching the Saudi cinematic scene.
